The National Pet Show is a dynamic live event, packed full of hundreds of different breeds of animals, amazing live animal action displays and fun and informative talks and demonstrations. It’s the perfect opportunity for animal lovers to meet and learn about all different types of animals as well as buying products and services for themselves and their pets.
Nicole Cooper, founder of Blue Inc Events, came up with the idea of the pet show in 2008 (the first of its kind in the UK). The event was sold to Channel 4’s Supervet, Noel Fitzpatrick, owner of Fitz All Media Events of which Nicole is now Managing Director.
It now attracts over 25,000 visitors over two days at the NEC, Birmingham. The show is divided into different zones: Discover Dogs, Discover Cats and Discover Small Furries. The event has attracted coverage in leading media including the One Show, This Morning, Sunday Brunch and has been nominated for the Best Consumer Show at the AEO Awards.
“The London Pet Showwas a fantastic opportunity for the Kennel Club to educate the public ensuring that dogs live healthy, happy lives with responsible owners. The Kennel Club ring was also a huge success contributing to a great event that was much enjoyed by all who attended,” saidVanessa McAlpine, Events and Education Executive, the Kennel Club.
“London Pet Show was hugely successful for us because we had the opportunity to showcase to a huge number of the public that the GCCF cares for the welfare and wellbeing of all cats, whether they be a highly titled show cat or a more humble moggie,” said Anne Gregory, Director of the GCCF.
“The London Pet Show, what a show!, we were busy from the time it opened to the time it closed, even 3 months after the show, we are still receiving calls and enquiries about our Belcando, Leonardo and bunny NATURE products, which are leading to great sales – we have already booked our space for next year!”
